Colorado Flooding

Has anyone heard from Jarka (Monty and Auggie)?  Her town Commerce City, CO apparently has had/is having  some major flooding.

Hi all! We are just fine. Sorry to alarm you.

We live by the Denver International Airport, and apart from some road closures, we have not seen much flooding in our area. There was some mandatory evacuation in Commerce City, but that was all east and south from us, thank goodness.

I work for the University of Colorado at Boulder and they had some major flooding out there. The school was closed Thursday and today, so I got two days off. That was really nice since this week has been a roller coaster (my boss got fired on the spot on Monday and there is some reorganization going on, so who knows). It was nice to not think about work for a few days and spend some time with the boys. They love the cooler weather and the rain, especially Auggie. There were some road closures in our area, but we were still able to get to our dog park in the mornings. Auggie loved to roll in the yucky standing water.

There is some major flooding in Boulder and other towns close to the mountains, but we are just fine.

This is where I usually walk the boys (pic is from Wednesday evening). It's an open area a block away from our house. I just wonder where all the coyotes went:

There is not much to do after our morning exercise:

Since I was home for a couple of days, I took Auggie for his annual shots and he did just great.

The sun actually came out this evening, but there are some storms predicted for the rest of the weekend.

Thank you so much for caring. It was not really bad around here. But there are plenty of places that got the "full dose". How horrible. I don't know how many and which of our buildings are damaged on the campus. Roads to Estes Park and other town are completely damaged. Usually, when we have closures in Colorado, it's due to snow. I hope this is not a prediction of the winter to come.
