As I recall that was a great book.

I just finished The Language of Flowers by Vanessa Diffenbaugh.  Although the subject matter is a little depressing (children who grow up without familties), I found it very enchanting and could not put it down.

While we were in Phoenix in January, my friend recommended The Shoemaker's Wife by Adriani Trigani which I just loved.  I also read Trigani's Very Valentine which was also a good quick read.

Now, I am back to my bridge books, specifically How to think at the Bridge Table, which at my age, I am finding more and more difficult to do!  LOL

Burn by Ted Dekker and Erin Healy

I love, love, love Ted Dekker but have to admit this is not one of my favorites.

Just finished The Innocent by David Baldacci and really enjoyed it - great summer read if you like action/suspence.

I have put aside the first four in Baldacci's Sean King and Michelle Maxwell series for vacation next week; it's been difficult not picking them up.  What have you guys set aside for summer reading?

I am reading a great book called The Book Thief!  I am not yet finished, but it has been a great read, so far.

What's it about?

I know I sent you the link, but it is about a little girl in Nazi Germany who has to go live with foster parents. She doesn't know how to read and her foster dad teaches her. Here this is a better explanation :)

Thank you.

The Book Thief is one of my favorites. For a real treat, try the audiobook.

I just finished reading the "The Heart of Hearing Heartbeats" by Jan Philipp Sendker.  Anyone else read this?  I could not put it down.  A sequel just came out which I just downloaded - "A Well Tempered Heart".  I hope it is as good as the first one.

Looks good. It's on my wish list. Thanks for sharing.

Anyone reading a book they cannot put down?  I am looking for one!

I am reading the latest Baldacci, The Taget. Although I can put it down it is a good way to pass the heat of the day . )
