At first I thought it was just a dry patch of skin, but after googling tick images (fun night!) I think my puppy has a tick. I've read up on how to remove it, but I really don't think I have that in me. Is this the kind of thing I can take her to the vet for? Is it okay to wait until tomorrow? I think that tick has been there for at least 2 days now.

Makes sense!  Thanks!

A tick key is definitely the easiest way to remove ticks. I have probably removed dozens of ticks from my dig. They always pop right off with the tick key. Before I got one I used tweezers but sometimes the head would detach and be left in the dog. So gross and possible dangerous.

HERE is the one I have. I bought a dozen and give them to people all the time. I think they put the old colors on sale or something. There is no difference between the one I got for $10 and the 50¢ one. It is very easy to do. The key comes with directions but this photo pretty much sums it up.

After a tick has been imbedded it leaves a huge scab on my dog. They can feel like ticks so I can see how you thought it was a tick.
