Is teeth cleaning a part of grooming?  Not sure where to post this...

But I ran across a tooth plaque scraper on Amazon and was wondering if anyone has used it.  Seems like it would be too harsh and wouldn't want to scratch up the enamel but it has great reviews.

I've had moderate success using this scraper...usually after Banjo's had a good amount of running out in the yard..he'll lay down and let me scrape away.   Sometimes you can almost "catch an edge" and almost pull the build up off.    I have to confess I don't do it nearly often enough.   If you're dog will lay still for it, it isn't as difficult as you might think.

thanks Carol!  I will try it.  Bender will be a breeze but I don't know if Zoe will sit still let alone sit still with her mouth wide open lol

Thanks for posting this!! I am going to try it. Wally is only 2 and already needs his teeth cleaned. The vet said it was genetics) I am sure it will require 2 people but its worth a try!

Hi Jeanine, hope it works for you!  I'll update  you if it works for us too! :)

I saw this and just got it. Immediately I  tried it on one of mine that has bad plaque.  She was letting me scrape it and it removed a great deal.  She was not that tolerant but I keep doing a little at a time and its removing the plaque.  It works if the doodle lets you.  Used it on my two others who have  a little bit  of plaque and its all gone.  It comes off in pieces.  Love the scraper!  Thanks for this !
