Does anyone recommend a groomer in the Camden/Burlington County area? Had a bad experience w/ one of the groomers at PetSmart in Marlton for Philo's first cut/shave ;(

Actually that is where Libby is groomed - the one on Route 70 by Route 73?  We use Elaine - she has always given Libby a good cut and is very loving.  In fact, she will even come out to get Libby from the car.  So sorry you had a bad experience there?

Robin/Libby, thank you for the reply. I will need to confirm the name of the groomer again, but Elaine doesn't sound like it. Maybe I can request her next time. Yes, it was the one on 70/73, right next to Shoprite which is convenient to me since I'm right down the street. Unfortunately, the groomer cut the tips of both of Philo's ears ;( Though he may have been squirming or moving a lot during the cut/shave; however I asked the groomer when I picked him up and she said he did great. I noticed the cuts on his ears when they started bleeding when we got home. There was another cut at the root of his ear, which he may have caused over night from scratching at a hair growing back, this one was bad and I had to take home to the vet yesterday.

That's terrible!  Elaine has always been great - Libby's boyfriend (Eddie) also goes to her (he is a doodle, as well).  I live in Mt. Laurel, and Libby lives in Marlton (I am the Godmother) but have taken her to be groomed many times.  She also goes to  Ruff House Doggie Day Care, right on Main Street in Marlton if you are ever looking for a place for Philo.  Libby is 6, but likes to make new friends!  If you do wind up trying Elaine, mention Libby and Eddie!  And if you would ever like to meet let me know - I'm sure Libby's mom would be good with that!

Thank you for the information. Philo is just under 9 months, so he may have been squirming and it being his first cut/shave, he may have not been cooperating. If I head back I'll definitely ask for Elaine and may try Ruff House as well, since that is just around the corner. Once in awhile I'll take Philo to the Connolly, Laurel Acres or Freedom dog parks. Would be willing to meet up, as it's always good to socialize the pup.

Note of caution - don't go to a place called Sandy's.  I don't like to bad mouth but they were terrible.  They shaved Libby for no reason and it was awful!

Oh my gosh! Thank you for posting!!! I live in Medford and have been trying to figure out where in the world to take Shaka. He's 16 weeks old and is need of a puppy trim. I hadn't the faintest idea where to take him.

After Philo's shaving debacle ;( his hair has grown back fast and needs a trim up. Will be taking him to go see Elaine next week (appointment scheduled and spoke w/ Elaine directly) will post an updated pic when done. Hopefully all goes well, thanks again for the reference Robin/Libby Louise!

Robin/Libby, thanks again for your recommendation. Philo got groomed this morning by Elaine, she remembered Libby and Eddie. She was super nice and made some great recommendations.

That's great!  He is gorgeous!  Glad it went well - Elaine is so nice!  We were just there about 2 weeks ago.  Happy to help!  I will tell Libby!
