I've been looking for a post on how to help a puppy with dry foot pads but can't seem to find one. It's getting cold here and she licks her paws often so that isn't helping. They aren't bad. Just a bit rough. Is there something non toxic I can put on that will be ok if she licks them? She is 6 months in case that is a factor. Thanks!

Try coconut oil. I have used it in the past when Annie had walked on snow melt. It helps to moisten the pads.

Try NaturVet Tender Foot Dog Paw and Elbow Cream.

I have heard that this is good stuff.  http://musherssecret.net/

I use Mushers Secret, it not only helps the dry foot pads it prevents it when used before going out in the snow.

Thanks for the tips!
