I met this doctor ( Chiropractor & Certified Veterinary Chiropractitioner.) at the pet expo over this weekend. I have been thinking about chiropractic care for Charlie, since now I know her bone is healed.

But I wasn't really sure if that would make it worse, the level of benefit or what will it really do.

Even though I go to the human chiropractic doctor, and think it is beneficial, I was not sure for the animals.... Does anyone ever heard of this?  Or used chiropractic care for your doodles?

I would also ask the vet who originally treated Charlie's injury if he/she thinks this is a good idea. JD's orthopedic surgeon was the one who suggested the cold laser & acupuncture/chiropractic to me. Otherwise, I would never have done it.

We have pet rehab facilities in this area and I think they are great.  In fact, my nieces are studying to be vets and I recommended animal physical therapy to them.  They have massage tables, therapy tubs, acupuncture, and a therapy pool.  I have given my dogs swimming lessons and they love it.  In some areas, there are rehabilitation, grooming, and boarding areas attached to animal hospitals.  Give it a try.  I think you will like it.  And it might be good for Charlie also.  I would think twice about canine psychotherapy however.  That is out there too.

I like the swimming idea... It is a good muscle building excercise wthout too much weight pressure...

I like that idea too! I personally have just started water therapy and I'm loving it!!!!!!
