Bogey is 9 months old and 21 lbs. (he is a miniature golden doodle ). I'm thinking he is done growing? He really hasn't gained any weight in about two months. Is this when I quit giving him puppy food?

I was planning to give puppy food for a year so I'll be interested to hear actual answers!

Murfee is now 10 months and I switched him at 9 months because he lost interest in his puppy food. He is also a mini and his weight had been stable for 6-8 weeks. With the adult food, he continues to hold at 30 pounds and enjoys his meals!

Violet is  15 months MGD...only 22 lbs...not a food fan .....hard to kow when they are done growing ? she was the runt ...

Goldie is a mini. She is turning 1 yr old next Monday and she is a whopping 20 lbs. she's been 20 lbs for 3 months so I'd say yeah... Yours is probably done with his skeletal growth but may fill out more. I switched Goldie to adult food this past weekend. I probably could've switched sooner but put it off for a couple of months.

You can transfer to adult food.  Minis are done growing by about 8 or 9 months, so I would guess Bogey is done. Ned weighed 27-28 pounds at 8 months and weighs the same at 5 years.

Hi Gail- Marlow is a 6 month old mini who weighs 17 pounds.  He saw our vet yesterday and she suggested that we switch him to adult food between 8-10 months.  His weight certainly hasn't stabilized yet but has definitely slowed down a lot!
