What will be the deciding factor as to when to stop feeding TOTW and switch?

There may not be any reason. There are a few brands on the "watch" list that I feel pretty comfortable with, such as Nature's Variety, and we have people here feeding some of them with no issues or problems. In fact, I'm waiting until February, and then N.V. will probably go onto the recommended list. But the ongoing issues with Diamond's recalls and their lack of transparency about sourcing makes it difficult for me to recommend them. It's the difference between saying, "You're probably fine feeding this" and saying "You should feed this." It's subtle, but hopefully understandable. :)

Karen recently determined that it is owned AND manufactured by Diamond - Diamond Pet Products has had recalls in the past and we are keeping it on our "watch list".  So if your pups are doing well on it, there is no need to abruptly switch foods - just keep an eye out for recalls and of course, we will inform you as soon as we know of a problem.
