My dogs are suddenly starving...

My dogs (all 4 of them) have been on Adult Orijen for many many months. I just got a new bag and I put it in my airtight container like I always do. It is packaged by weight, I get that, so I understand how sometimes my container won't quite shut, and other times it does. This time I have food left in the bag because it didn't even come close to fitting. Anyway, I was thrilled and figured - bonus food!!! Well, my dogs are STARVING since I opened this new bag. I am starting to wonder about it. I know my question is crazy, but I see no reason why quantities all four dogs have been getting would not be satisfying for all four dogs now. Any thoughts on this or do I need to drink more coffee and get more sleep because I am crazy  :)

Ok, I just saw this post and I may be crazy too. Bentley has been extra hungry since his new bag of Adult Formula Orijens. It also causes him to throw up a bit which I forgot after we went through the last bag of adult a few months ago. Since then we have cycled through 6 fish and the Red Meat flavors which his stomach handles better.

Anyway, all of this to say he has been ravished lately too (since the new bag). I understand the "winter weight" idea in the comments but we live in Florida and it is still HOT!!

Hoping to figure something out bc he has shimmied his way out through the cat door onto the screened porch to eat his food too the past 2 days. He doesn't get any people food based on sensitive stomach and only 3-4 training treats per day since they tend to make him gassy and he comes to work with us so that is not good!

Mindy, I am in AZ so it isn't that cold here either! I was looking for a lot number on the bag so we could compare. I would recommend contacting the company and question them as well. 1-877-393-000.

Anita, I didn't get a chance to call Orijens yet. Did you get any info from them? Also, can't get lot number bc bag is gone. It got thrown away after pouring into the storage bin. We've been mixing 6 Fish with Adult formula until it's gone so he seems to not be as hungry. Hate that I had to do that though...

I talked to someone again Mindy, and with her guidance, I found the lot number. She ran a search on my lot number and there were no problems - so that is good. They were so helpful! Each batch of food is tested for nutritional quantities and safety and the lot number takes it down to the time of day the bag was packaged so if there is ever a problem, they can go back to that exact time and day and see where the problem lies. No wonder Karen raves about this food! I told them they are the number one food for DK. Mindy, she is sending us a coupon for a free smaller bag so we can try a different flavor for our dogs.
