All good points. If you can feel her ribs a bit and she is eating and doing all the usual she may have stopped growing and all is well.
Smaller dogs usually complete their skeletal growth by 8 months of age. I'd ask your vet his opinion of her weight at her annual check-up, which I'm guessing is coming up?
Milo stopped growing at that time as well. He is also a medium labradoodle - at about 19 inches in height and 30 pounds. Our vet said the ribs should have a very minor covering of fat, but you should be able to feel them all when you rub your hands down their side.
The Labradoodle comes in three size variations: Standard, Medium, and Miniature.
Not sure where those size statistics are coming from, but there are a LOT of standard labradoodles here on DK who are much taller and heavier than that. JD is 25 inches and 80 lbs, and we have a lot of doodles here who are quite a big larger. Some as tall as 28" and some over 100 lbs. As mixed breed dogs, there really is no consistency in size, especially at the upper end. The ALDs do seem to be more consistent.
