Hello, we are looking to add a doodle to our family, but didn't think we should do a puppy yet. Does anyone know of a doodle in need of a home? I see the group on here, but I can't seem to reply to any. I signed up on here, so i don't know what else to do.
Lucy and sophie's mom is correct. Even though you've already joined doodlekisses, you still have to click "join" for each group that you want to join. You don't have to fill anything out only click to join.
But you should know, that each listing you find in the rescued doodles group is just a listing. The leaders of that group search petfinder.com and other places and transfer the listings here. Responding in the group may not necessarily help you because you will have to contact the actual shelter for rescue group that has the dog to ask questions about any particular dog. So have fun searching in the group for a good doodle for you, but remember to contact the actual shelter or rescue group if you're interested in a doodle.
Also I'm not sure if I've mentioned this to you, but you might want to put in an application with IDOG as well.
You might also want to check out the Rescued Doodles group in addition to the Doodles In Need group (which has recently been reorganized by geographic location of the dogs) to get an idea of some of issues people here who have rescued doodles have gone through with their rescues to see if it's the right thing for you. A lot of the dogs are rescued from unhappy environments & have significant fear issues when they come home to you. Just an FYI :)
We have decided to retire Conner from our breeding program (he is actually available as a breeder too but I can not sell him to someone who kennels their dogs and am very picky about where he goes as I want him to have the best lift!). You can see Conner on our website at http://www.noblevestaldoodles.com/available_now.html
