My sweet Henry (he just turned 2) has some type of tumor on his leg. The vet thinks it may be a Mast Cell (cancer) he is having surgery on Friday to remove it. We will not know the pathology until next week. I am praying that it will be benign. Has anyone else gone through anything like this? What questions should I be asking my vet?

Sending warm thoughts and prayers.....

I hope it's benign and all goes well. Sending prayers and hugs your way and Henry's.

Sending positive thoughts!  Big hugs to sweet handsome Henry!

Sending good thoughts!
My Ellie had two of these Tumors removed in October. She just turned three this month. I was worried SICK!!! The vet also thought that one of them, was Cancer. I couldn't sleep for 10 days worrying. After removing it, the vet was still worried about one of the tumors, the other she thought was benign. Long story short, she called us after a LONG weekend of tears, with the news that both were clear and NOT Cancer!!! She said she couldn't believe it. A TRUE Miracle. She had already been discussing chemo and other treatments with us, My mind was on overload!! SO, Keep the FAITH!!! Your in my thoughts. Please keep us updated!

I'm sorry you're going through this.  I hope it's benign.  My Halas had several fatty tumors removed earlier this year.  They were able to test them when I first discovered them, so we knew they were just fatty, but I finally decided to have them removed.  I hope Henry's turn out to be that, too.
