Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
We are so thrilled with our new addition. He is everything we were looking for in a Labradoodle. Since we haven't seen many Doodles his size in person, we are having a hard time picturing what he might look like when he is grown. Does anyone have any pictures of their Doodle who is around 17" tall at the shoulder? (Pictures with people are helpful for a perspective.) Also, at what age are most Doodles done growing? Thank you!

Halas is about 18 at the shoulder. There are lots of pictures on my page, but only a couple where you have a person or other object that will help you see relative size. He's about 28-29 lbs, but he looks much larger in a lot of his pictures. Halas' growth really slowed down at about 7 months old, but then he had another growth spurt a few months later.
Tara is 2 years old and about 16ish inches tall at the shoulders. She weighs 21 pounds. You are welcome to look through the photos on My Page. There are a few there of her with people to give you a perspective.
Tara gained weight very quickly until she was 7 or 8 months old and then it slowed down quite a bit. I am not sure at what age she reached her full height though. At 6 months she weighed 15 pounds and we thought she was going to be BIG but by one year she only weighed 18 pounds and at 2 years 21 pounds. She is pretty much at her adult weight now I think. Her mom weighed 21 pounds too.
Bochy is a realy cutie!! Congrats on your new family member!!
The standard set by the Australian Labradoodle Association of America for the Australian Labradoodle and the Labradoodle are the same in reference to size and structure for the Miniature Labradoodle, Medium Labradoodle and Standard Labradoodle.
Labradoodle Standard Size: | 21”-24” (not over 25”) | 50-65 lbs. |
Labradoodle Medium Size: | 17”-20” (not over 21”) | 30-45 lbs. |
Labradoodle Miniature Size: | 14”-16” (not over 17”) | 15-25 lbs. |
Yes, Peri is 16 1/2 " and 25 pounds, but her siblings range in size and go up to 38 pounds.
She was considered mini/medium according to her breeder.
Mico is a mini goldendoodle. He's 6mo and 17" - 18lbs. He's supposed to get to 22lbs and on the tall side. His mom is 17" - 25lbs; dad is 17" - 20lbs.

Geoff, as a mini, Mico may have almost reached his full growth. The smaller dogs mature earlier and slow down bunches at 6 months and are pretty much done at 7 or 8 months.
Love this photo of Chewie! When I picked out Kona, I was told he was going to be a medium at about 35 to 40 pounds. He is now 6 months old this week, and is only 15 inches tall and 19.5 pounds. He hasn't changed weight in about a month, but maybe he'll have another growth spurt. So....I bought a medium, but might end up with a mini (which is what I really kind of hoped for in the first place so that he could fit on my lap longer!) My vet thinks he might still end up to be about 30 pounds after a year. Either way, they are so darned cute and loveable that it really doesn't matter! I know that some breeders charge a lot extra for a mini, so who knows! I might have gotten a real bargain! But then I look at Chewie and think he is absolutely the perfect size! I'm just happy that Kona won't be 120 pounds like my niece's Goldendoodle! My tiny house couldn't handle that size, no matter how hilarious and adorable his personality is.
