So Max goes in tomorrow morning to be neutered, well I guess it's actually today looking at the time. I am really nervous. I've never been nervous with any of my animals in the past, but Max had a bad reaction to his vaccinations, I know that's totally unrelated to the neuter but I guess it just has me really worried. :(

The boxers have seemed to work for lots of people. I used them for Quincy once when I needed an area covered and they worked like a charm. I wish I had know about them before he was neutered but that was before I found DK. For those of you who would like a visual here it is.

I don't know how he did it either, and he was only out of my sight for like five minutes. :( I think maybe the cold made the plastic brittle? I took a pair of my daughter's old pajama bottoms, and cut them into shorts and put them on him. He seems to be doing okay with this, and he's not bothering the incision so I guess we'll see if he keeps it up like this, I don't really want to get another cone if he just does the same thing again. :(

I'll get my daughter to take a picture when she gets home.

Julie, this site is doing all kind of freaky things, freezing up, scrolling up... I'm going to log out for a while and then log back in later.  It was giving me trouble last night too.  I'd type whole replies - and you know how wordy I am - and they'd vanish into thin air!

I look forward to seeing Max in his jammie pants. :)

Donna those are such cute pictures! How did you get them to stay on? I've tried a couple different pairs but they all seem to fall off, he's 60lbs so it's not like he's a little dog, did you use men's boxers? I've been trying shorts and pajama bottoms, no boxers in the house.

Julie, He really didn't bother them much. Quincy is 65lbs and those boxers were a men's large. I know someone used briefs and they would probably stay on better as long as they aren't too tight.

You can also use a tank top if you have one.  Put his tail through the neck hole and tie the bottom in a knot over his back to keep it snug.
