What food do you guys feed your doodle ?

Miss Beasley is 6 months old and I still can't say I'm happy with her food, seems like the food  will have somethings good yet missing other things ..I want her healthy with a shinny coat ...I was wondering what you all feed your doodles

Hudson has been on Fromm Gold puppy (pink package) for almost 2 months, but he has continuously had very bad gas and his stools are not as hard as I would like them to be. And recently he has had problems with his anal glands not expressing on their own due to the softer stools.

 

As a result, I am in the process of switching him to Canidae Sky (duck). So far his stools have been hard, no gas, and no anal gland issues. His coat seems softer too, but that's probably just due to his puppy coat changing. Who knows. Either way, I'm happy with the Canidae Sky so far.

I am very torn as to what food to give my doodle. I currently have him on Nutro puppy lamb and rice.(per the advice of the person at the store) It doesn't seem to agree with him. In doing my research and reading here on DK it seems as though Blue,Taste of Wild, and Fromm are the best. Today I went to my local Tractor Supply and they were trying to talk me into 4Health. They said it is made by Tractor Supply. I am unsure if I should take their advice and give it a try or are they just trying to sell me on their own products. My doodle needs a lower fiber food. He has way to many BM a day than he should. Any advice/guidance would be great!

I believe TOTW is on the watch list right now due to recall stuff but I could be wrong. Orijen is viewed as the best kibble. I can't offer any advice as far as the 4health food, but I would start by checking out the recommended foods discussion in the food group. How many BMs/day are you considering way too many?

I have been feeding Orijen Six Fish.  My Luna goes crazy for it - she is 1 year 2 months.

April- does Luna have bad fish breath on it? We're not ready to switch to adult food yet, but I feel like the six fish would be good for Ragley's coat. I'm just scared of the fish breath lol

I haven't noticed it other than right at feeding time.  The smell of the food is definitely fishy.  Luna's potty stuff and other things are just fine as well.  I think Luna is going through her coat change so its hard for me to tell - I spend a ton of time combing and brushing - she has new mats within an hour.

if I am right Ragley is about 11 months old , has she already shed out her puppy coat ? Miss Beasley is 7 months and she is curly at the neck and front legs and then her behind is fuzzy as heck ...I was just wondering how long this last ???

Ragley will be 5 months old next Tuesday so we haven't hit the dreaded coat change yet! I wish I could help you!

Enzo is 8 months and is basically, the same way. Wavey at the neck, legs and just 1/2 way down her back. Then the fuzzes start! It is slowly disappearing and the wavey stuff taking it's place.

Enzo's fur seems to be similar to Yogi's. I'll be curious to see how the coat change goes.
