We picked up Groucho's ashes yesterday and this veterinary hospital is so great.  They also did Hondo's cremation.  I added some photos to my prior message, but they did not go onto my page.  I will try again.  Joanne, I am just such a loser when it comes to posting on this website.  You wouldn't believe that I have had many computer classes.  But, I am getting a little better.

I know they will both live in your heart forever.

Lynda ~ I hope you do not mind - I downloaded your photos for you.  Groucho Two was your special boy!

Thank you.  Of course I don't mind.

These photos are not Groucho.  We was a large black and tan phantom doodle.  These are photos of Harpo and Laila.

Such a beautiful boy....I'm so sorry Lynda.

I'm so sorry for your loss…

Lost lost 2 older dogs recently and have plans to spread them at the lake on my birthday this summer and believe it will be a very nice closure.

Beautiful pictures..I am so sorry for your loss

I am so very sorry. I sure does hurt to lose them.

Beautiful sentiment!  Groucho Too will always hold that special part of your heart.  Just goes without saying!

I had kept all the ashes of past Goldens.  5 Generations!  When Dylan passed last summer, I guess I figured it was just time and finally find some closure.  We took a bit of each of their ashes, and planted a  tree with some flowers surrounding it, in our yard.  I had a special marble stone made up with each of their names.  Some may think I am a nutjob, but it helped ease the pain just a bit.  We intend to keep part of the ashes, and take the rest and bring them up to Napa next time we go.  They all loved boating up there, so we will dispense them up there somewhere.

As you said, ashes to ashes.  ((HUGS))

We just recently saw where they are making planters for human cremains as well to plant that produce a tree.  I also just recently discovered a girl south of us that does beautiful memorial jewelry out of dried flowers, I intend to ask if she can also do them with cremains.  I love the idea of somehow continuing to give back, with my pets as well as myself.

Cremains!   I love that.

I don't think you are nutty at all!  It is hard to think of just the right thing to do with those ashes.  We have had Hondo's on our bookcase for three years, and I think we will bury them together after we get our new fountain in the backyard.  My husband is making an outdoor kitchen right now and it will have a fountain nearby (electrical already installed).  We also have an alabaster stone for Hondo and we will make something for Groucho Too also.  Whatever makes it better for your family is reasonable.  I also had my daughter and my cousin cremated.  She is buried with my husband's grandmother in a family plot in Illinois and we sprinkled my cousin's ashes by airplane over the bay at Pt. Lobos.  Whatever works for you is what is right to do.
