Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
The last time I posted on training, we had just finished our first puppy classes. The classes were a total waste of our time and money. Honestly River didn't learn a thing. Then I was very lucky to have a puppy day care Savey Paws close to me house in Canton. River has more energy then five puppies and that's not exaggerating, I never would get a break all day. Day care saved my sanity and let River socialize, it was a win win. Well then Lynne (River breeder) from Fountain Falls took River for two weeks and started him on the right track. When River came home he started training with Chuck at Savey Paws twice a week. Wow, what a difference Lynne and Chuck has made, They don't treat train and have such a calmness when they are training.
I'm posting this because of all the past post on trainers. I've had quiet a few trainers in the past, but non as good as the owner Chuck at Savy Paws in Canton Ga. I guess I'm just saying to be picky choosing your trainer and your dog should love spending time with the trainer. Happy Doodle makes happy doodle owner!

It is not easy finding just the right fit for a training partner. I am glad you found yours. I am sure that burning off all that extra energy at daycare has helped River to focus better.
Your right, day care helps burn off all that energy and it also helps them socialize. Its important to find the right day care that really takes the extra steps to make sure the dogs are safe and happy. Having the owner of the day care train River was just a bonus. Chucks training techniques are different from other trainers. I've used Bark Busters, private trainers and Canine Ranch just to name a few. None have gotten the respect and results that Chuck has, believe me River was a hand full of energy.
I am so glad the you have found the right trainers and that River is learning what he needs to know.
Sounds wonderful....you might want to also share this in your local/State group here on DK.
