Still no Poodle in my Doodle

Lola is still favoring the GR side of her. Am wondering if she gets kinky when shes wet, if she will get some curls?? Not that Id trade her for all the Tea in China...but am just curious. Lola is 5 months old and fur as soft as a baby bunny! She sheds for sure...at first she didn't. Which don't bother me, her brother, Grady Boy, a shaggy mutt ..sheds like crazy!!! Let me know what you all think! I attached a coupe pics of her...thanks

She looks exactly like my Tanner (F1 labradoodle) did when he was young.  He was, and still is at 5, soft as a bunny,  He has a streak of curly hair going down his back, a magnificent beard and eyebrows, sheds (although not as much as the labs we always had) and does get curlier when wet.  He is quite literally the love of my life - loving and cuddly all 110 lbs of him.  Doesn't look at all like I thought he would and could care less - on the plus side the only grooming he needs is an occasional beard trim, although I do clipper him shorter over the summer because we hike and swim a lot.

Tanner is soooo handsome!! I can totally see why He is the love of your life!!! I cant wait to get Lola to the campgrounds and take her for a swim in the river!! I can definitely tell she is going to love the water!!! And I agree,,I could care less if she does or doesn't get curly...shes my  ♥

Thanks, we think he's pretty handsome, too.  We got Molly when Tanner was 2 1/2, and she is much more doodley.  But when we camp, swim and hike a lot her coat is a pain to keep clean and knot free.  Tanner didn't get his beard until he was almost a year old, here is his puppy picture.

Im not quite sure! My husband gave me Lola for Christmas and he didn't get any real info on her except that she was the puppy of 2 Goldendoodles. But how cute is your sweetie!! She is adorable!!

Iam not a good predictor of things in general but I see a lot of our dog in your dog...which means she may get curly when she is getting bath and wet but otherwise people will think she is a golden just like ours!...........frankly, I rather like it......we now have a `13 wk LD who looks like a mop........no straight hair at all.......no shedding either............smart as a whip.......

the two have not quite figured out how to get along however...........but I;ve given him a bath and the curls remain........so iam thinking no shedding from him...........I think yours is beautiful frankly;-))))))))

I think she is quite pretty too!! And yes people do think she is a GR! Im comfy with it and for sure love her so!!! Thank you for your input!!

Here's my Rowley, presently 15 weeks old.
The first photo he was 13.5 weeks

He still looks like this, but getting lanky fast! He is an F2 goldendoodle. He sheds but I only seem to notice it when I cuddle him, and even then, it is soft fine fur that doesn't seem too overpowering. I don't think he will ever have any more of a poodle look than he does now. I don't foresee a beard either. What we notice is that he has the temperament of a poodle. He is incredibly smart and easily trained. He seems to have the stature of a poodle too, though the color of a golden and fur soo unbelievably soft no one ever wants to stop touching him. His hair has a crimped look around the head and ears and his ears are longer than a golden's. He'll never have curly or wavy fur, though his hair is wavier than a golden retrievers.
His name is Rowley, my boys say, "if you want him to be rowled up, he'll get all Rowley!! If you want him to be your teddy bear, he's your Rowley bear."

He looks a lot like our mattie....who never looked like a poodle even from day one!........except when she is wet then gets curly curly.......he is a cutie though;))))))))) I like less curl so iam biased.......lol

I agree the grooming of the curls can get tricky!!! So Im glad she isn't super curly!!

He is very handsome. F2 is more golden retriever and some poodle. It will sheds some. Anyway he is adorable. :)
