Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Hi im new to the group but was told this group would be helpful for tips on uti's and how to help our puppy get over it and also is it even realistic to train her to go outside while she has her uti? Sochi is our goldendoodle and she is almost 11 weeks old. we are on our second round of antibiotics which we just started yesterday. sochi has been with us for 3 weeks and came to us with this uti :( it has been frustrating because she is so good but just cant control her constant peeing! we are giving her cranberry supplements everyday and try to get as much water into her as possible!

She is so precious. Don't you just hate it when your babies are hurting and can't tell you about it. None of my dogs has ever had a UTI, so I can't give any advice, but I can offer ((((hugs)))
thanks so much nancy! and yes it is really wearing us out because there seems to be a connection between the food we have been giving her and the uti! the breeder gave us iams which i am now learning is a really bad dog food :(
Iams is a very bad food. If you haven't already checked, go to the food group and look on the discussion of recommended foods.
yes i did look at food group but am afraid to make a change till after she gets over her bladder infection since the meds can cause diahrea but will change soon after that! since i do know that changing food even gradually can cause diahrea too ....ugh!
thanks F. Calla & Lucas, its so funny because she is in her crate all night and doesnt pee in there but once she is out bam its all day every 5 mins :(
keeping her on a leash? is that tethering? we do try that when we have free hands or feet...lol
thanks!
