Roo came home yesterday! It was almost a 4 hour drive. He had no accidents and didn't puke! You could tell he was nervous but he was such a trooper! 

He almost slept through the night. He whined at 1:30 but he stopped after I layed down next to his crate. He finally woke up at 5am. He's napping now at 8:30 am.

He's had a couple accidents. Man, this potty training thing is hard! I keep taking him outside every 30 minutes but he just tries to eat sticks and rocks. He successfully peed twice outside and 5 times in the house ;) He seems smart so I'm sure he'll get it in the next couple of months.

We're so in love with him!

Congrats!  He's adorable! Just keep at the potty training and it won't even be months. Enjoy the puppy crazy time!

Hi Katie, well x that by 2 and welcome to my world! ..lol , He is just beautiful!  love his color , my girls are doing really good, we have not had any accidents in kennel and they have slept through the night to until almost 8 yesterday and 8 .15 this morning. Roo  will get there , I think once he adjust to his new family ,I know 1 thing they are smart ! Congrats - he is soooo cute!  Just keep at the potty training - don;t get discouraged because he and you are brand new at this!  For the first several days we gave Hugo a treat each time he pottied outside and gave him lots of praise.  Make sure to treat him immediately, so it reinforces the potty.  If you treat back at the house he won't associated the positive reinforcement with the potty.  We stopped treats with the potty after he had it down for a days.  We had a lot of accidents the first 2 days.  I would say we were 50/50.  We just kept taking him out and watching for signs, obsessively.  The accidents decreased over next few days.  By day 6 no more accidents (and we are on day 11 with no accidents! Not even at Puppy Kindergarten!  We are still early so I know he isn't fully trained, but I feel we are in good shape, and you will be also.  Enjoy getting to know him!!!

And we use the command, "Hugo, Go Potty".  He  seems to understand now and I can usually get him to go immediately by using the command.  It helps especially when we are in a new place.

Thanks for the advice! We've had less accidents today (only 2) and he's gone outside the other 5 times.
