Finn is 11 weeks old. He's a great puppy but...there's always a but....he wakes up at 3 to go poop. He has his dinner around 4:30 and he does go out for his last pee around 1030 when he also has a poop. For some reason, he wakes up and wants out to go again around 3. He doesn't pee, just poops. If I don't get up with him, he will go in his kennel. His poop is very soft and not really formed. He is active and has a great appetite. Any advice?

Most puppies this young cannot hold it all night and it is normal for them to have to go out. I would, however, take a poop sample into your vet to be tested. It seems like more and more we are hearing about pups with Giardia. Good luck!
Thanks Laurie, He has an appointment for Monday, so I'll take a sample with me.
Not sure about your vet, but if it were my vet I would be able to just drop the sample off today. Only say that as you would have two and a half days of meds in him by Monday if needed. Just a thought.
My only other thought is are there any treats after dinner time? If so, you might cut back on those.
Soft, unformed poop plus waking you in the middle of the night to go sounds like Giardia to me. I agree that you need to get a fecal done sooner rather than later, because there are special clean-up and disinfecting issues that need to be done with Giardia, as well as getting the meds started.
Fozzy is so adorable! Fingers crossed it's not Giardia.
Puppies (and babies) are that way. He does not yet have his schedule down. If he is waking you up to go out, then that is all you can expect of a puppy. If his poop is soft and not really formed that tells you more about him still just being a puppy. Sounds totally normal to me.
He is adorable! I agree with everyone else, I would take the sample in today.
Very adorable! I agree that taking the sample in asap is the way to go!
My puppy did the same thing at that age with soft poop as well. Eventually she got on a schedule that meant sleeping through the night, but it took a few weeks. And when I changed her food the poops got less soft.
I like the name Finn! Hope he is doing better
