Puppy Classes Started Today

Today was Truman's first puppy class.  It was really good I guess.  It has been so long since i did that with our golden as a pup, I really have nothing to compare it to.  The class was about and hour but I can't believe how much it tired out the puppy.  I guess for them it's just as draining mentally because I wouldn't say it was all that physical.  I swear he slept ALL afternoon.  (not complaining but a little concerned about tonight :)    Anyone else have that same experince?

I remembered Enzo being totally exhausted after each class. I think it is all the excitement! Not too worry, Truman will get his second wind and be his energetic self again in a few hrs!

It's totally normal! We had Spike in puppy kindergarten on Thursday nights. For the entire 6 week span he conked out as soon as class was over and stayed mellow and so well behaved all day on each Friday. He made up for it in Saturdays though. He did the same this week after his first night of grade 1. Training is all mental. They say that half an hour of training is more tiring that an hour of physical exercise.

Lucy was so tired from puppy class and she did slept thru the night. This Friday she is going in immediate class. It's normal and don't worry. :)

Our trainer told us to expect for them to be tired after. I think it is the focused mental attention that makes them so tired. Enjoy your classes!!
