New Doodle Already...

This is so not what we'd planned, but we welcomed a new Doodle into our home yesterday. Who knew dogs could be unplanned?

A couple from our church approached us. They have a 10 month old labradoodle named Sky. Their elderly father recently had to move in with them. Unfortunately Sky tends to get underfoot and he's tripped over her a few times and last time got hurt. They've been lockin her up in their laundry room all day because they didn't have another way to separate them.

They said they'd been praying on what to do and didn't want to re-home her but felt like thy had no other choice. Then they'd heard our Maizy passed away and wondered if we'd be willing to take in Sky. My husband (who is not a dog person at all) told me he felt like it was meant to be and a sign from Maizy.

The kicker is.... Sky is Maizy's daughter. No joke! Maizy was pregnant when we met her and Sky was one of those puppies. Crazy huh??

Sky is your typical 10 month old puppy, she's hyper, chewy and adorable. She fits right in with our 2 and 4 year old human kids. She needs some training on leash behavior and jumping, etc. but she's a sweetie!

Oh, my goodness. This is quite a story - remarkable, actually. I'm not a big believer in cosmic intervention, but boy, oh, boy, this certainly makes me pause and wonder. First, I'm very sorry that you lost your much-loved Maizy. It sounds like the stars aligned and brought sweet Sky into your life. It give me chills to think that Maisy brought Sky into the world and now it's your turn to give her a good life. Shivers and chills. Sadness and happiness.
