Our f1b mini golden doodle Mulligan is now 14 weeks and 7.2 lbs. He has been with us since he was 8 weeks old and I just ADORE him. He is quite possibly the sweetest and smartest doggy I have ever owned. In the short time we have had him he has pretty well mastered potty training, crate training, sit, come, stay, down, and shake. The last two commands he achieved this past week. My husband gets annoyed with his biting and mouthing (as do the children) but I know this is just a puppy thing and he will outgrow it. I am overjoyed with love at our little guy and am so glad we invested in him. Anyway- just wanted to share my successes with other doodle momma's/and dad's who would "get" my gushing. :) I obviously also can not wait to see how his coat and looks develop as he ages.

Happy Mother's Day!

Sounds like you guys are doing great! I have felt the same way about our doodle.
Enjoy your puppy :-)

Hi Courtney! Mulligan is too cute!!! Brag on! He is a real smarty!!! =)

We certainly do "get it" here on DK!  Your little guy Mulligan is just adorable!  Keep up the great work on training him!

I am so glad you are enjoying your pup.  We are pretty nuts here about our doods so brag away.

That makes me smile.  I'm still, and will always be, head over heels in love with our Yarrow.  At 8 months old I'm still always gushing over her.  Yarrow was terrible mouthy and nippy compared to other puppies I've had.  She still likes to use her mouth in lieu of hands, helping me to carry things, guiding me into the kitchen by the belt of my housecoat... but she is ever so gentle now and 'drops it' as soon as she is told to.

Mulligan has recently gotten big enough to jump on the couch and until now we have been able to just put him out of the reach of our hands and feet. Unfortunately that is no longer an option because the second he is getting to mouthy and we are unable to redirect with a toy or commands we used to just put him on the floor and ignore him. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't sad that is no longer an option.

Little Mulligan is just precious, so glad things are going well and can see how much progress he has made in just the 6 weeks he has been with you. There are a lot of new Doodle owners that recently joined DK, I hope they read this and realize that just a few weeks makes such a difference and patience is truly a virtue when raising a pup, much like raising our human babies. Your success is not just due to having a smart puppy, you are obviously doing the right things!! Can't wait to see more pictures!!
That is so encouraging and great to hear! Please do share any tips you have on what is working well! Best,
