Bodi took a flying leap off of my bed and then cried . . . a lot. It was not just one yelp. :( We laid him on the bed to rest and he quit crying. He seems to have injured his front leg or shoulder. After a rest we gently put him on the floor. He puts that paw down, but doesn't put a lot of weight on it. He only has a slight limp. Of course, the vet is closed. Can I keep him quiet for tonight and visit the vet in the morning?? He is being careful and there has been no more crying.
I have no problem going first thing in the morning - the vet opens at 7:30. I have not heard good things about the emergency vet, so I prefer to wait.
Advice please!
UPDATE! I took Bodi into the vet this morning. Actually that's not quite right - he PULLED me into the vet this morning. He was examined and given pain medication. The vet doesn't think it is anything serious - just a pulled tendon. If he has more problems we will go back for an x-ray. On the way out, Bodi balanced on these large rocks to pee on a plant. I'm embarrassed that he has to pee on all of their shrubbery (they are used to it) but happy with his agility!
We are now attempting to keep him from jumping, running, etc. Wish me luck!
THANK YOU for all of your supportive comments!

Fingers crossed for good news!
Great news! Have fun keeping him "calm"! ;)
Oh so relieved to hear Bodi is okay! Thank goodness! Yes, they feel it is their job to pee at the vets. All those other stupid pets keep messing up their scents. ;o)
The downside to the pain meds is it is harder to keep them quiet for a few days. The meds make the feel better and they want to resume normal activity. Glad to hear it was nothing serious.
Glad to hear it wasn't serious. I hope Bodi is soon back to normal and feeling fine.
Glad to hear the good news.
Glad that it was good news! Hopefully he will continue to heal and have no further problems. Our dog Clay jumped out of DH's arms when he was really little. I thought it was a kamikaze dive. I really thought he would be terribly hurt but he yelped for a minute or two and then he was fine. It was scary. Poor Bodi, it must have really hurt for him to cry and cry. Please don't forget his pain meds! :-)
Good news to hear! I hope you can keep him calm so he can heal completely.
