Too Hot

[Anne & Mr. Haley]

Haley does not like hot weather one bit.  He barely plays fetch.  He will run to the back door after a few throws when he does play.  He is spending most of his time in the downstairs bathroom sometimes blocking the doorway because there is an air conditioning vent right outside that door.  He catches the air from that vent and the one in the bathroom.  Now this has become his favorite place.

Oh, No!!!  She caught me.

I wonder what he would do if I put a couple of inches of water in the tub.  : )

My friend uses a Canine Cooler dog bed and her dogs love it. I use a Ruffwear Swamp Cooler jacket on my two when we at agility trials in the summer. It works really well at cooling them down.

Too cute! Ragley loves the bathroom tile and laying on top of our air vents. Haley looks so cozy in the tub!

[Emily, Bentley, & Maserati]

Bentley and Maserati hate the hot. Bentley's favorite spot like Haley's, is the bathtub!
We have found they use their kuranda beds significantly more when it is hot. We have moved 2 of them to the back yard patio area in the shade and they seem to like that better than laying on the hot ground. We also have a baby pool filled about half way and they will splash around to keep cool.

Haley, you look so cute & comfey in the tub!  That's Ellie's favorite place as well.  I have a bunch of pics of her lounging in the tub just like this.  :)  She used to always "sneak" in when she thought I wasn't looking, but last week she suddenly got all polite and stood outside the curtain making her "chewbacca" sounds...I think she was asking permission to get in LOL.  I told her she could go ahead, so she stepped in the tub and hung out for a while.  They are such crack-ups!

Hailey is so cute in the tub! At least he's smart enough to take care of himself. Picco likes to lay on the cool tile in the bathroom at night, but no way get in a tub!
