Just thought I'd add a fun little topic to see what your doods love to do in the summertime. Share pictures please. :)

Ragley loves loves loves water! But now the heat and humidity have really started to skyrocket here and it will only get worse, so we have been playing a lot of indoor games and doing training exercises. One of Ragley's new favorites is "Find Marvin" or "Find Duck", during which I place her in a sit-stay and go hide one of her toys for her to find. I come back and release her and she takes off looking for it! It is pretty cute! I wish we had a beach near here!

Have you tried pancake hunts?  My dogs love it and are experts at this point.  They do it every Saturday morning (outside) but it started as a meat hunt in a hotel room in Germany.   We got in late and had terrible steaks so brought them back to the room and cut them up and hid them all over the room and then told our miniature poodle to find them.  (He was waiting in the bathroom.)  It was so much fun that we have continued the practice, but now with pancakes.

Swimming, going to the beach, playing at the dog park, walking anywhere.  Zeppo (the little white dog) is the newest member of the pack and he likes to take care of Harpo.  Since we live in paradise (weather wise anyway) the summer activities are pretty much the same as other activities all year long.  We are going to try more BTL (bike tow leash) rides and off-leash walks in the back country this summer.  Harpo has to stay on leash because of his extreme sensitivity to poison oak.

Lynda such a great idea, I am going to have to try that game outside too with some food. Max is going to a nose work class in the fall so it will be good practice for him. I love the pictures of your doodles finding the pancakes. 

Karen JD looks absolutely ecstatic in that picture, I love those happy doodle eyes and the bouncing ears. 

Lynda it looks like the doods are having such a great time in the pool! I want to get an in ground pool just for Max lol.

Well, if I MUST hahah Here is one from her frolicking today. It is the first time I have let her out to roam and run in the yard since her spay so she was feeling fun and free!

We go on walks before 8 am because sometimes it's already 80 degrees when we wake up. We have been working on swimming. Crush kind of likes it but isn't that great at it yet. Pretty soon we will be going on as many weekend camping trips as possible. It is my first summer with her so she hasn't gone yet. Lately it has been hotter than heck so we have been staying in the cool house a lot.

Breanna we've had days like that and so I usually wait till almost dark to do walks. Swimming is great for keeping everyone cool and happy. Where is the picture. :)
