We're starting to transition Oliver to staying at home during the day (he was previously at daycare).  We have "off limits" furniture in our living room. When we are home he's good about obeying the rules.  When I checked the puppy spy cam today, on day #2 of the new schedule, guess where he is?  Taking a serious nap on the off limits furniture!!!  What a little stinker!

LOL!  That is great.  Gotta love puppy cams.  :)  Eloise does the same thing at my sister's - she obeys the "no couch" rule until we leave the house, then "mysteriously" when we return, the couch has a doodle-was-sleeping-here warm spot.

Overall I would say that is a "safe" naughty activity!! He is definitely a smart boy for obeying in front of you, too bad he hasn't figured out cameras! ;)

We use an ex-pen to block our living room off from casual napping.  Our guys honor it totally, although they could jump it and knock it down, our guys honor it totally.  My daughter's dogs - knock it down every time they visit and we leave them alone, so it might not work.  An ex-pen can fold flat  and slide behind a chair when not in use.

We're on day #3 now and he's back to his new favorite spot.  He's now alternating between the pieces of off limits furniture as if one just wasn't good enough.  Sounds like an xpen or a couch cover is going to be a requirement in our future :)
