I'm having so much fun "painting" with my new Corel software, I decided that I would use this post as a place to share my pictures.  Here's my new one....

Here are my other two...

Wow! This is wonderful!!!! I absolutely love it!

If I recall you use Photoshop exclusively, right? Or do you use Corel Painter, as well?

Thanks, Linda. For this one I just used Photoshop.  I use Corel on some and then bring them back into Photoshop to finish.

Jane, your images always inspire me.

Thank you DJ!

ooooo! Beautiful...  I like the canvas like texture....

I am having fun trying to analyze your layers.  First the photo as the background layer, then the canvas texture, and then painting with which brushes?  The flag is a nice focal point.  Since I do a lot on canvas anyway, the canvas layer is sometimes counter productive.  It prints well on art paper, but not on canvas.  My experience, anyway.

You did a good job, Lynda.  The only difference was my brush layer was second, and I applied the texture at the end.  I used several brushes...can't remember which ones.  Thanks for your insight on the canvas layer and printing.

Layer is another hard concept for me to learn!!!

More Photoshop painting..

All so lovely, as always, Jane.   I especially love the coneflower/butterfly!

Thank you, Carol!  I love coneflowers, and those butterflies seem to be everywhere this Summer...I hope it's a butterfly and not some sort of moth.

You are so lucky to have butterflies.  I planted all kinds of milkweed so I could attract some monarch butterflies, but so far not one this year.  No butterflies (or moths) and very few bees and hummingbirds.  This in an agricultural area, however, and I think the spraying of pesticides and insecticides have decimated our butterflies and bees.  So sad.
