Lost Goldendoodle in Oakton, VA

Saw this in our local CL, and thought I would post it here on the off chance someone local saw "Buddy"  Also sent message to the Northern VA group.

Please help us find "BUDDY"

DESCRIPTION: Hair recently shaved, Wearing multicolored headband around neck, VERY FRIENDLY!!
Phone number on collar is WRONG as he just moved to VA. Lost on July 18, 2014
LOST near Stuart Mill, Birdfoot and Vale Roads in Oakton

If you have any way to contact this person, please tell her that she must contact her local animal controls ASAP. If he is picked up as a stray, he will be held at a county animal control facility for a brief period and then he can be adopted out or euthanized. The A/C officials are not going to see ads on CL or posts on FB. 

I sure hope the poor guy is found soon.

I will make sure she has done that.  Sometimes the most logical first step is what we forget to do!  I will try again to contact the woman thru the CL ad - using the randomized email CL gives you.  I sent a msg that way earlier today, but haven't heard anything back.

Tell him to also try contacting veterinarians in the area and leaving a description of the dog and his contact info.  I lost my Beardie once and even though he had slipped his collar, the person who found him started calling vets in the area and that's how he found me and I got my boy back. The vet remembered I had been in and left a flyer. He had called the SPCA too but the SPCA misplaced the info!
