Hi Christina. First of all, Timber looks very cute with her new cut! I think they did a great job of keeping her a bit longer instead of the dreaded "shave" that some pups wind up with! Now about the ears you want to tame. My Bailey had the same "fly away" ears that Timber has. I once posted about the same thing and got the tip to use thinning scissors on them to get rid of the fluffy stuff. Since I just have regular scissors and clippers I get creative with both and blend them in with the shape of her head so the puffy look goes away. She needs a bit of a trim in this photo but it shows the basic idea.
I also use thinning shears in addition to curved scissors that you can buy on any grooming website. That way the ears have a nice curved edge at the bottom instead of being cut straight across.
