I have been thinking about buying a compact mirrorless system - either a Sony or Olympus.  I really like the feel of the Sony A6000, but the more research I do, the more confused I become!  Anyone have a mirrorless camera or thoughts on this subject?

Wow...I had no idea...sounds like the mirror less camera's are much lighter weight, but the down side is they eat up your battery quicker....so definitely have an extra battery.  They may very well be the wave of the future.  Thanks for posting this interesting topic.  I will be doing more research also.  Hope you post your findings and your decision.

Thanks for your comment Joani.  I find the size and weight appealing, but need to do some more research.  New cameras are coming out so frequently it is hard to know what to get.  I do know, I do not want to have to lug heavy equipment around.  I do have an iphone and maybe I should just try some of the olloclips for iphone.  So many options these days.

Linda, I do not own one, but perhaps if you post this in the Photography group someone could help you!

Laurie ~ I do not know why I did not think about that.  OH duh! Thanks.

I own an Olympus OM-D and I could not be happier. The camera is amazing. It's light, has a great battery life, the lenses are extremely good and very user friendly.

Here is a link to a photography blog that posts excellent reviews with examples and videos. http://www.stevehuffphoto.com/all-reviews/mirrorless-central/

Thanks for the link Rosella.  Which Olympus do you have.  I was looking at the OMD5 also.

You're welcome, Linda. I have the EM-5 and I bought it right when it came out. Olympus has since released the EM-1 which is supposedly better. I really love my camera though so I have no regrets.
