Yogi and Maci were playing, actually very quietly on the floor. Maci starts crying and limping over to me. It's been about 10 minutes now. She won't put her foot down. Just walks on 3 legs, and wants to cuddle. Should I give it some time or take her to a vet ? Experiences, suggestions?

I'll be watching for an update. Good luck!

Poor Maci...feel better soon sweet girl!

Just returned from our vet. She took a complete set of X-rays of her leg/hip,
and wants to have a radiologist read it. She thought it is probably in her hip/pelvis region.
Ventured a guess it could be a degenerative lesion, and was wondering about the growth
plate area.
We should know something hopefully tomorrow. Maci got some rimadyl and seems more
comfortable now. I had to put her in her crate because Yogi was trying so hard to get her to play.
She was doing her best, running three legged in the back yard, but that's when I decided I best crate her
Until we find out something. They are both so sad looking now.

Still hopeful it's a strain or something similar, but I'm glad I got the insurance just in case.

Hoping it's something minor, and Maci feels better very soon.

Poor Maci and Yogi, it is so hard for them to understand when they can't do their normal routine. Praying for it to be nothing serious.  Thinking about all of you!

Keeping my fingers crossed that Maci will be ok!   Sending good thoughts !!

What a worry.  Hoping for a good outcome.

I am so sorry Leslie.  I hope it turns out to be nothing more than a strain.

Fingers crossed that it's nothing major.  Libby has limped on more than one occasion in her 7 years - both front and back legs.  During the summer the vet said it was actually a lower back issue, and said she should lose some weight.  She did lose about 5 pounds and she was much better until she actually tore her ACL a few weeks ago.  We are 10 days post surgery and she is doing well, although it's so difficult to keep her quiet.  And she doesn't understand why she can't go on the bed, of course.  Hoping it is something that a few days of rest will cure for Maci.  Love that Yogi is bringing her toys!  I will be watching for an update!!!!!

So sorry to hear this.  There is nothing worse than seeing your puppy in pain.  I hope she starts to feel herself soon....

I hope little Maci feels better soon!

Keeping fingers crossed for Maci!
