Hi doodle friends.  Seamus was diagnosed yesterday with this slight bump in his left eye after i saw a redness that last over a week.  Our vet prescribed prednisone drops twice daily and she said it should improve by monday.

Just wondering if any other doodles have ever had this eye problem. Our vet said its nothing serious. Thanks!

Wishing Seamus a speedy recovery.

I am not familiar, but do hope that Seamus (love the name) recovers quickly.

I was not familiar with this condition but I looked it up, and apparently it runs in cocker spaniels, which makes sense since Seamus is an ALD. I hope the meds help clear it up quickly.

Hope Seamus is feeling well and recovers ASAP!

thanks for all the good wishes everyone! xx

Feel better Seamus!

I am not familiar with this either, but I certainly hope he will recover quickly.

thank you Linda!!

We see this often enough at the Ophthalmic practice (for humans) I work at as a tech. He's correct-It's generally easily treated with prednisone drops. I would use artificial tears as well. If he needs pred drops for a week or two, there is risk of elevated interocular pressure- a steroid response.

thanks for your reply Karen.  The drops are definitely helping. We are almost done with the prednisone.
