Canadian Winters are Cold for Naked Dogs - Here's How You Can Help

Hi DK,  if you would be so kind, my new favourite dog rescue group - Sit With Me Dog Rescue - is in a contest to win Canada Pooch Coats for foster dogs who don't do well in the cold winter.  And trust me when I say, it gets REALLY cold here. Cold enough that certain dog breeds with particularly short fur have a difficult time going out in the winter, and SWM tends to take in a lot of them.

With many many dogs in the rescue and mostly only little/medium coats available, we sure could use your help! all you need to do is click on a few links and share with friends.

The top 5 shelters with the most votes will each win 30 Canada Pooch jackets! Contest began on Monday, October 20th at 1:00pm EST and closes on Monday, November 10th at 5:00pm EST.

Sherri, is there any way to vote without having to go through FB? I don't use these things that say "Photo Contest (or anyone else, lol) will receive the following info: your public profile friend list and likes."

Ok, all you have to do is like their page.  The policy about information disclosure is a bit of an over  reaction.  I manage several pages and is not easy to even figure out the names of those who like your page let alone all their info. The only way to get their info is to find their name and click on it and it takes you to their facebook profile. If they have privacy settings on you can't see anything.  Plus, as soon as you unlike their page they lose access to your name. So it's really not as bad as it sounds.

Well, I did "like" their page, and as soon as I tried to vote, I still got the "Photo Contest will receive blah blah blah." It's Photo Contest who gets your info.

oh, argh. Well I asked the rescue and it appears there's no other way. I don't blame anyone for not wanting to give their info. That's frustrating.

I don't play any games on FB for that same reason. 

And I'm thinking that some people here who might like to vote may not even use FB at all or have a FB account. 

Is the voting only through FB?

What's the name of the rescue group? Do they have a website?
