Leo passed his CGC test today. :) The trainer said Leo would be good at Rally class. Do any of your doodles do Rally? He is in pet manners 3 now then sign up for Rally beginner. I thought I would get an idea of what it really was.
Thanks!

Congratulations on Leo passing the CGC. I have not done Rally, but several of my friends do and they say it is so much fun. Give it a try and report back to us.
Congrats to Leo and you on passing the CGC. Have never done Rally but it sounds like fun.
Congratulations to both Leo and his Mommy:) Great accomplishment!
Thank you! It was fun and he did a great job. I have heard Rally is fun too. I will give it a try :)
Bayley and I are doing Rally. She will be 3 going on 1 next month. We have been doing classes for about a year now. I initially enrolled her in novice obedience and we went though several sessions of that, my main objective was just to get her to behave and listen to me when around lots of people and dogs. We are still struggling with that. We started Rally last November and have been going every week since. It took a couple of months of sessions before she (and I) got the hang of what was going on. Now she loves it. Her eyes are glued on mine and she follows my signals around the course. We are entered in a trial on Nov. 15, which just happens to be her birthday.
I think it's great fun and a wonderful bonding opportunity between human and dog. You should check YouTube and look for Rally trials to see dogs in action and get an idea of what the sport is all about.
Both of mine titled in Rally through the Excellent level. It was really a fun time and they do learn to really connect and listen/watch. You should try it. The first three legs of the first level are all done on leash, and once your doodle can do all the basics they just have to watch you for the verbal/hand signals at each sign throughout the course.
Here's video of Kona and I in our last of the on leash levels.
