Botanical Gardens Trip

[Anne & Mr. Haley]

Saturday the Norfolk Botanical Gardens had a Fitness and Fido event.  I had the gardens on my Fall bucket list so we headed off for the 50 mile trip. Haley was so excited.

We finally got there.

It's getting late and time to go home.  The end of a beautiful day in the botanical gardens. 

Haley had been on his feet from 10:30 A. M. when we left home until 6:00 P. M. when we got back.  Needless to say, he was one pooped doodle.  He had dinner and slept all night!

(Haley drinks well water.  My bottle ran out and we filled it and his bowl from a fountain in the park and offered water to him.  He took one sniff and walked away.  Apparently he does not like water with chemicals in it.  Fortunately we were almost back to the car where he had a big drink of well water that was in the car)

Hayley and the gardens, perfect together. I wish we had that here at either the NJ Botanical gardens, which are small or over in the Bronx. What a nice idea. Lovely shots.

Thanks F. This BG has only this one day a year that dogs are allowed. The BG in Richmond allows dogs after 5PM two Thursday nights a month in June, July and August. Also one first and last Thursdays of their festival of lights. Nice.

These are beautiful Anne!  By the time I got to #4 I was thinking, Haley, you are quite the gardener!  He looks really happy and I enjoyed walking through the day with you!  I wish we had a dog day like this in the wildflower preserve :(

We went to Santa Barbara Botanical gardens a while back with the dogs. A dog day was being planned but we weren't able to make it back for the event.  Your day with lots of doggies looked fun.  What a health conscious pup Mr. Haley is!  :-}
