After taking countless pictures with my Nikon point and shoot with very unimpressive results, I finally decided to get a Nikon D40 (DSLR). Wow, what a difference it makes. My Dad has the Nikon D90, but I didn't want to spend over $1,000 for a camera, so the D40 was a great choice - with the lens, it was only $420!
I'm just sorry I didn't buy one of these sooner! I just wanted to show everyone the difference. These pictures were taken in the exact same lighting.
ah yes! i completely agree! here are my before and after photos (granted he was much younger in the first one, but it was still taken in the same quality light outside and you can see the quality/clarity is so much better in the second!)
Cool! Great comparison. My point and shoot takes decent pictures, but I prefer to not use the flash. When I don't use the flash indoors, the pics are usually kind of blurry. I think the Nikon D90 is the new one that also takes HD video, which would be cool, and helps justify the higher price. These doodles just get more and more expensive. That's right, I'm blaming it on Halas if I get a new camera.
