Looking for a groomer in Maryland + First Grooming

Hi there everyone!!

Our little guy Angus is 15 weeks now and we'd like to find him a good groomer. Does anyone from Maryland know a good, trustworthy groomer in the Annapolis area? We were hoping to avoid a store atmosphere in favor of a more personal experience.

Also, when did you all get your furbabies groomed for the first time? Thanks in advance!!

I'm not in your area so I can't help with a groomer but I found mine through a local Doodle breeders website link. The groomer does the breeders dogs. Abby started at the groomer at 15 weeks and has gone every two weeks since. The groom was a bath, blow dry, face and sanitary trim, and nails. The reason so often was to get the puppy used to the groomer, the process, sounds, etc. She only charges $15 per visit if you do this regularly. After 5 months of age, it's a full groom, only when you want one. It worked out great for me and Abby always looks gorgeous. Good luck finding a great groomer!

Ahh thank you! We definitely want to get him accustomed to the grooming process for sure! I was also thinking he might need to get the hair in his ears trimmed - he's been itching a lot recently despite having them cleaned out once a week or so. Gonna check with his vet at his appointment next week, though, to make sure he doesn't have an infection. I'll see if I can't find a groomer through local breeders...
