Anyone have a CrAZy coat like Knox as a pup?

Hi everyone! New here. I'm so glad I found DK, I've read so much helpful info and have thoroughly enjoyed looking at everyones doodles!

We got Knox, an F2B goldendoodle, about a month and a half ago--he is now 14 weeks old and doing great! One thing I am DYING to know is what he might look like when he's older! We have another doodle, Nolan (F1 who is Knox's father), that looks 100% retriever, so we were hoping to have a more shaggy/doodley looking pup this go round. Knox is definitely more fluffy/shaggy than Nolan ever was but I cannot figure out what he will end up looking like. He started out just a ball of fluff, now he is shedding puppy fur and acquiring a coarser/wavyish stripe down his back that kinda parts in the middle. However his sides look like fleece, and the hair on top of his head is Albert Einstein crazy! Here of some pics of his coat recently.. Does anyone have a doodle that resembled him? Hi Mari, I've actually seen Truman's pictures and I do think they look a lot alike! He is such a handsome man now. :) Only time will tell how Knox will end up! No matter what, I'll love him to death obviously. I'll keep you updated!

He looks very soft.  Is the hair growing in long or plush? Is it curlier than the puppy hair he is shedding? It looks like he is shedding the longer hairs. The stripe down his back is perfectly normal and most of our doodles seem to have a coarser strip that, when they are younger, is darker.

The hair he is shedding is very fine and crimpy. He has 2  types of new hair coming in. First I noticed hair coming in starting at his neck down- it is long, thin and sorta wavy. Then I just noticed a few days ago his hair changing starting at his tail.. and it is coarser, thicker, and almost wooly. It's so hard to describe!

Oz is only 9 wks but this description of hair sounds a lot like his! I'm going to follow along... I'm very curious about his coat.. It is so much different than his big brother Doc!

Update on Mr. Knox. The stripe down his back has continued up towards his neck and is coming in quite wavy. I'm wondering if the stripe will continue down his sides and the rest of his coat or if it will just be down the middle of his back. Who knows!

For those of yall following, I thought I'd post an update of Knox's coat change. He turned 4 months old on November 5. The stripe down his back is getting thicker and curlier, and his facial hair is filling in. Still shedding up the wazoo! I think this might be him "doodling out"--at least I hope so! :P I'd love to see pictures of yalls puppy's coat status!!

Oh, Knox is adorable!  Hudson is a couple weeks older, but he has a pretty similar coat.  He has the dark, coarse stripe down his back which has some body/curl to it, and he is shedding...a LOT! I think it's slowed down a bit. Hoping so, anyway! :)
