Hi, does anyone out there have a light apricot goldendoodle with a brown nose? There's a puppy we're considering, and we'd really like to see some photos of what he might look like. Thanks!

Thanks, I loved your photos!! They are both darling dogs, and you're right, Bella looks perfect with her liver nose. It makes me wish we could get two puppies!
Yep. It's because it's EXTREMELY rare for a golden retriever to carry the genetic material for a brown nose--why chocolate goldendoodles are NOT very common. But with an F1b ... you get more genes from the poodle involved and so it's much easier to end up with a brown nose since poodles (of the right colors) do carry these genes more commonly than the golden retriever. So the puppy COULD be a brown nosed dog, but it's too soon too tell.
By the way I HATED liver/brown noses before I got Rosco....but now they are my favorite!!!

Wahoooo!!! It worked! I just will NOT allow anyone to say they are computer illiterate...they are just not practiced =) Now you know how! Awesome! What cuties...yeah may be too young to tell for sure what their noses will be like.
This response may not have anything to do with you original discussion but similar topic.....
I recently noticed that Oliver's nose color has changed/lightened. He is an F1 Golden Doodle. His nose was black before and now it looks like this (in the pic link below - not sure what color it is or if it is done changing). I thought my husband rubbed off the black color because he just loves rubbing that nose!!! Too cute!
Technically called "hypopigmentation" (or snow nose, winter nose) it's from loss of sunlight, and causes the nose to fade to brown in winter. Normal color returns in the spring. It occurs mainly in light-coated dogs.
