I decided to start a new discussion for sharing my work because I'm now using lots of media other than just digital.  I'm still working digitally, but I'm printing and then adding pastel, oil or even watercolor.  Right now I'm taking a pastel class....sometimes I "paint" on a blank canvas or other times I'll use pastel brushes in Painter, print, and then go over the image with real pastels.  It's so much fun.  Here's a still life that I just did....I'll print...and go over it again with pastels.

You are really branching out! But where is the picture, I don't see one.

I think it's here now....

I'm so happy you started this thread! I LOVE doing mixed media paintings, too! I enjoy starting them on the digital canvas and then finishing them with traditional mediums. I'm hoping to have more time to explore this in the weeks to come. I would love to do a Google Hangout or Skype session with you one day... :)

This piece is BEAUTIFUL, by the way!!!

Thanks Linda!  It seems to be a progression.  I started with photography...then textures...then PS painting...the Painter...and then I started with local painting classes.  Now I just put them all together and it's SO fun!  I'd really love to do a Doodle Hangout with you too...maybe others will be interested.

Great! I work at home so my schedule is pretty flexible. Are weekdays or weekends better? Afternoons or evening? And what time zone are you in? I'm in Las Vegas, so I'm on Pacific Time.

Afternoons are usually good for me....except for Thursdays which is when I have my painting class.  I'm Eastern time zone.

Wow, this is just what I need.  Also in Pacific time zone and available most evenings, but I still have to figure out how to do the hangout with the Windows 8 computer (built in camera).  I don't think I am good enough to paint on a canvas, but I do have a lot of fun painting digitally.

I think I told you, Linda, that a famous photographer here prints his photographs rather small and then paints over them.  He will not work digitally, but prints on canvas and works from there.  Paintovers are the new thing, but you need to have the ability to do the painting.  I just don't (yet).

It was worth waiting for. A beautiful still life.

Thanks F!

Wow! This is your absolute best by far! Love.  ...  and it was all yellow

Thanks Joanne.  I worried about it being all yellow....my teacher said that usually would not be a good idea but in this case it worked.  Just lucky.....

Couldn't  help but sing Coldplay's song  last night. Singing it again today....... and it was all yellow. You know I love you so  and it was all yellow. La La
