I decided to start a new discussion for sharing my work because I'm now using lots of media other than just digital. I'm still working digitally, but I'm printing and then adding pastel, oil or even watercolor. Right now I'm taking a pastel class....sometimes I "paint" on a blank canvas or other times I'll use pastel brushes in Painter, print, and then go over the image with real pastels. It's so much fun. Here's a still life that I just did....I'll print...and go over it again with pastels.

Thank you F!
Yes, an affective crop.
Thanks Kyoko.
Jane, You never cease to amaze me! This is just beautiful, and leaves me wanting to see more!
Thanks so much, Carol!
This is simply beautiful, Jane. I love the sunshine it brings to the viewer.
Thanks Nancy!
TIP for those who would like to try this: In the beginning, I suggest starting out with clear acrylic mediums on canvas prints with no color added. Experiment with creating brushstrokes, and with "lifting" the paint (for an impasto effect) here and there with heavy mediums. From there, you can explore adding color. (Less is more!)
My 8 yr old granddaughter, Jenna, and I love doing art projects together. We have fun collecting odds and ends, such as the netting that avocados and onions are packaged in... juice jug lids... large, broken combs... broken toy parts...crumpled up gift wrap tissue paper... old cookie cutters... disposable chopsticks... dice... etc, to add texture and shapes to painting/art projects. I love how she SEES/FEELS TEXTURES in everything around her now!
WARNING: THIS PROCESS IS EXTREMELY ADDICTING - - - AND SOOOOOOOOO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!! lol!
I just signed up for "A Year of Painting" with Alena Hennessy....it sounds a lot like this.
On line? or a local class? You are doing amazing things. Love the purple flower in the black and white painting.
