Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
A couple weeks ago, a publisher contacted me about a copy of a darling children's book about a labradoodle named Mogie who "works" for a Ronald McDonald House, helping kids get their "mojo" back. The book is intended for children 4-8 years old and since I have one of those in my house, I thought it would be perfect. My copy arrived yesterday.
And for this important photo opp, Rosco even got some couch time ;)
It really is a sweet story and illustrates, Mogie, a natural therapy dog, doing what he does best with several children who needed uplifting. Although Mogie's breed is not mentioned in the book, it is based on a real Mogie who happens to be an Australian labradoodle and really works for a Ronald McDonald House.

Now for all of you with children or grandchildren...we will be giving away ONE copy to a lucky DK Member! All you have to do is respond below with your favorite kid-doodle story. Have you witnessed a touching moment between your doodle and a child? Funny stories, heart-warming stories, silly stories...all are welcome! Your response with a story will be considered your entry. Only one response per person will count. Only US addresses qualify.
I'll give this contest till Sunday at midnight, Pacific Time.

Adina ~ this is such a great idea. The photo of your beautiful little girl & Roscoe is so sweet!
I agree Linda. Haven't seen a pic in awhile and she is gorgeous!
This would be such a perfect book for when AnnaBelle finally settles down enough to join the reading program at the library (she is practicing now).
Anyway, here goes my story. When Sophie and I would visit at the hospital it was rare that we would run into children as most of them were sent to Children's hospital. However, one day this little girl was in the ER and she got so excited when she saw Sophie. Sophie of course loved children and we went over to grab some pets and share a little joy. The little girls was rubbing Sophie's head and just loving all over her when I realized that the little girl had been eating a chocolate cookie and had it all over her hands ... yep, all over Sophie!
Yes, yes, yes a thousand times
Love this.
What an awesome picture!!!!!
Absolutely adorable!
beautiful
What a lovely story. I will order if I don't win.
Evie had been helping her mama walk their dogs even from her stroller where she held the end of the leash. When she went on her first Evie-only camping trip with Grandma and Papa, she decided to take Ned for a potty walk all by herself. We are glad that she decided to take Ned rather than Clancy!
Of course, we knew what she was doing and, photography group member that I am, I grabbed my camera to record it. Did Ned go potty, you ask? Not on your life! :-}
