Pet insurance Yay or Nay

Huge debate going on between my hubby and I, I vote for pet insurance,he say it's not necessary.  

Any recommendation for a company ?.

no matter what might be in our bank account.

Thanks everyone, we have decided to go through with pet insurance, so far we are leaning towards VPI, based on the fact that they offer the Wellness plan.

We were really lucky to get Hoka Healthy Paws for $29/month (80% coverage).  The little stinker ate a squeaker from a toy. The 2 surgeries were over $10,000.  Healthy Paws was wonderful, easy to submit and fast to pay out.

Let me put it this way.  We have Springer Spaniel that we have spent about $10,000.00 on and we don't have insurance for him.  Ten grand would cover many years of premiums!

For what it's worth - in the last 4 months I have spent almost $4,000 on vet care for my cat. Healthy Paws has been ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. So simple to submit your claim (literally, upload the invoice and you're done) and really quick to pay out. I am beyond impressed with them. If anyone is looking, I absolutely recommend them.
