Doodle needs rescue in Rancho Cucamonga

Just became eligible. Male, not fixed, unhappy, and is about 35 pounds. Photos attached.

My husband and I were going to drive up there from Carlsbad and meet this little guy and then were told his owners came in to claim him...I worry that he's not being taken care of so we told the shelter to contact us if the owners change their mind and don't pick him up after he's neutered. He was wandering around without a collar and totally matted. Makes me think they won't want to pay the money to take him home...I will call the shelter again on Tuesday. Claudia

It does sound like he could benefit from a more loving home... and a family that is able to better care for him. So sad.
