The HDA Medal Has Arrived!!!!

The FedEx guy came stumbling up the walk overburdened with boxes. Haley and I went out on the porch to see what he brought. Haley completely ignored the package from Chewey.com (which contained his food) and zeroed in on the package originating in Plattsburg, NY from Sheila and Finnely. There was no question as to what it was about. It was decorated with paw prints, a picture of Haley and the wording "HDA Winner".

We took it inside and started opening it.

It was packed full with treats for Haley.

And, toys, an antler and a rawhide, all for Haley.

Candies, coffee and Top Dog mug, and Michigan Sauce Mix to make the famous Michigan "Red Hots" all people treats favorites of Plattsburg and the beautiful Adirondack Mountains area. And, a beautiful framed portrait of Haley.

As lovely and exciting as all this was the most important items were the HDA Journal signed by all of the recipients of the HDA trophy (r.i.p.) and its replacement, the beautiful HDA medal.

Haley insisted in modeling showing off the medal for me. Thank you Haley!

Little did I know when I adopted Haley six years ago that I would become so addicted to him and find Doodle Kisses and become an official Hopless Doodle Addict. DK is such an awesome site full of wonderful people and great information on everything doodle.

Sheila and Finnely, thank you so much for an awesome box of goodies. You certainly outdid yourselves.

I will soon be passing the HDA medal on to the next recipient.

Congrats! I will admit here that I don't know what the HDA medal really is (besides being a literal medal). But the medal and box of treats looks fun!

Congratulations, Anne and Mr. Haley!! I am shocked you aren't already a recipient of this prestigious award :) Haley wears the medal well. So glad to "know" you and get to see all the wonderful photos you take!! Love all the photos. Sheila did a great job with her gifts and the mailing box!

Anne, when I went into FedEx, I put the box on the counter, I smiled really big, and I laughed. Then I said, "Don't judge, and he said, I won't. Now, he is laughing and said; "Is this for a dog? I said not just any dog, he is a medal winning dog. Then I pointed out his picture!!

Have no idea what the guys thought as it was traveling from place to place! How could they not smile though, with Mr. Haley's face on the box!
