Hi Cindy! I know Boone very well as I earned my grad degree from App. State. We visit Boone at least 4 times a year. You are about an hour and a half away. I live in Winston-Salem. My goldendoodle Bella is 13 weeks. I have been off school (am an elementary school vice principal) so have had several weeks with Bella this summer. Have to start back on Mon:( That is great you have two dogs. Does Charlie calm Bentley down? Bella is experiencing the crazies twice a day....she changes between sweet into a monster dog! These are trying times as she will jump up and nip hard, bite clothes and anything else in her way. Then after about an hour she collapses!

Hi Donna - sorry so long to respond!! Nice to meet a neighbor! I have family in the Winston/Clemmens area as well so we're both back and forth between towns! To answer your question - no - Charlie didn't really calm Bentley down much. It was just kind of hang on time for a while. We went thru the nipping, biting stages - I used a gentle holding of his mouth with a "no bite" command and then immediately removed my hands from him. It actually caught on pretty quickly and then by about 6 months or so it seemed most of all of that stuff was pretty much over. Bentley is 10 months on Monday and he's very easy now. He and Charlie have bonded well - especially that the nipping and biting is over. Seems most of that stopped or slowed down once his adult teeth started coming in as well. He still has tons of puppy in him, but it's fun and manageable now! We try to hike at least 5 out of 7 days a week and that keeps them calm at home!!! We need to share e-mails so we can hook up when you come up here and take these doods out for a good long walk, maybe around Moses Cone! I'm a paralegal - now working from home - as little as possilbe LOL!!! So I'm lucky, my schedule is mostly my own. My husband is a semi-retired atty. Let me know if you're coming up and we'll meet for a walk and "play date"! Cindy

Hey all we are from China Grove, NC and have a 12 week old F1B golden doodle. Looking forward to hearing from everyone here in North Carolina. We like to camp so maybe we will run into some of y'all while we are on the road.
