I decided to start a new discussion for sharing my work because I'm now using lots of media other than just digital. I'm still working digitally, but I'm printing and then adding pastel, oil or even watercolor. Right now I'm taking a pastel class....sometimes I "paint" on a blank canvas or other times I'll use pastel brushes in Painter, print, and then go over the image with real pastels. It's so much fun. Here's a still life that I just did....I'll print...and go over it again with pastels.

Thanks, F....never thought of that.
Jane, your first "from scratch" painting is so much better than my first attempts oh so many years ago. Congratulations~
Thanks DJ.....I have so much more to learn.
We all have so much more to learn. Even when you are doing a great job (like you are) there is much more to learn. Keep learning.
You did a great job on this!
Love the vibrancy of the first one but the second one is my favorite with the "liquid" brush strokes, gorgeous tones, and great composition.
Really lovely!
I started a new class in January....A Year of Painting with Alena Hennessy. It's different from much of what I've been doing because there is no digital component and it's very much focused on accessing your creativity versus the technical aspects of photography or painting. I struggled for the first couple of weeks....actually I'm still struggling...but I'm really enjoying it so far. It's an online class with videos every couple of weeks and assignments that we share on a private FB group. The best part is that there are 750 artists in this class from all over the world. They are amazing and so supportive. Here's my first "work" which I painted with inks on aqua board. At this point it's all about learning to be "free and listen to our intuition". That's a bit of a change for me.
Thanks, F. It really is kind of an "adventure"....and it's fun.
Very cool! I'm so excited for you! Please continue to share your adventure with us. :)
